My favourite shampoo for a white, grey or palomino (with white mane and tail) is definitely Champion Tails Silver Highlight Shampoo. Take a look at the photo below and you will see results! This yearling photographed was National Champion for all aged horses. When you compete at this level, you need to present your horse extremely well.

TIP ~ Leave it on for a few minutes to soak in before washing off.

For a bay or chestnut horse, my preferred shampoo is Kelato Amino Gloss. Ingredients include: almond oil, coconut oil, lanolin and amino acids. This shampoo leaves the horse looking, as the name says "glossy".

TIP ~ Wash the horse a couple of days prior to the competition and spray the horse with a shine spray after washing. Rug completely so the horse doesn't get dirty.

Other shampoos (for non-white horses) I like are:

Dr Show Conditioning Shampoo, which includes natural oils.

Troy Hoss Gloss Medicated Shampoo

DESCRIPTION ~ Troy Hoss Gloss Medicated Shampoo is for the routine use as a wash and as an aid in the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections of the skin of dogs, horses and cattle. Active Constituent: 5g/L Dichlorophen
